How do I get my news to post in reverse order?

I made the news there just like the blog, but I don't know how to put in the author on the website. All it says when I try to put the author in is "1" (i'm guessing because i'm the first user on my installation of pe in the DB.)
Here's my code for what i put in.

1) You need to include a sort order in your SQL statement like this: ORDER BY date_date DESC
2) That is the index number of the author in the author table, you either execute a new statement to query the second table for the description/title of the author or you can probably do it with a join.
